Heading back for three weeks of R&R after a strange couple of months. Can't call the trip 'much needed', but certainly better than spending the time mooching about the provincial capital, waiting for school (ugh) to start.

Few days in Tokyo, few days in Fukuoka, and the rest in Kumamoto - my old ground for stomping in Asia. Look for arts, entertainment, debauchery and narcissism: very Biblical.

Finally, remember, sports fans, in the words of good ol' A. E. Housman...
